Dark Arisen Obelisks: Locations & Offering Flames

Norgan has nine Obelisks of Benediction, one for each vocation except Warfarer. Finding one lets you buy its basic skill; an Offering Flame opens more of its menu. A missing map icon and a locked purchase are different problems. [1][2]

Find the route your story has opened

KeenGamer groups access into four early monuments, two after Rumbles in the North and three after Sage's Wisdom. Use those checkpoints to investigate a blocked route, rather than repeatedly walking into the same barrier. Bring a Climbing Hook. [2]

StageVocationLandmark and approach
Early NorganMageEast of the settlement, on raised rock reached with a hook.
Early NorganFighterValgr Ravine, above the river crossing northeast of the settlement.
Early NorganArcherClifftop near Underhill Passage, east of Beorcan Stronghold; circle around the cliff instead of climbing its face.
Early NorganThiefNear Rivercave Campground and Mountain Stronghold; check the stairs and higher ground.
After Rumbles in the NorthSorcererWestern Lake Norgan, near Deserted Lakeside Estate.
After Rumbles in the NorthWarriorMad-Lord's Chapel, reached from the Shrine of Wisdom route.
After Sage's WisdomMystic SpearhandRuined fort beyond Nival Gorge Collapse.
After Sage's WisdomMagick ArcherCentral snowfield, on the hill east of the chasm near Snowslide Pass.
After Sage's WisdomTricksterBeyond the northern exit of Gagana's Grotto; use the hook approach.

The stage grouping is from KeenGamer; local landmarks are cross-checked against The Click. Published directions use different reference points around Rivercave Campground, so use the named stronghold and elevation instead of treating a single compass bearing as an exact coordinate. [2][3]

  • Basic weapon skill: purchase with Discipline Points without activating the full monument.
  • Enhanced skill: offer a flame, then purchase the upgrade.
  • Permanent stat enhancement: available after activation and purchased once.
  • Temporary loot benefit: also part of the activated menu; it is not another permanent stat bonus.

Push Square confirms this distinction. Check the price and description on the actual menu before spending: the opened guides do not consistently itemize every cost, so this page does not promise a single total for completing all nine. [1]

Where the flames come from

Offering Flames are rewards from Lost Rites trials in Vermund and Battahl. Ask Brant about the unearthed ruins and follow the trial quest; its compass helps reveal the other locations. VGC notes that some rewards sit behind Spellseal doors, making further story progress relevant even after finding a dungeon. [4]

Choose the next check

No icon? Approach the monument to discover it. Blocked route? Check the story stage in the table. Only the base skill is offered? Check activation and your flame. Purchase still unavailable? Check your Discipline Points and the exact menu requirement. These checks avoid treating every missing reward as a lost map marker. [1][2][3]

Maister spirits are a later return visit, not the same transaction as an enhanced skill purchase. For that progression, use the Dark Arisen maister unlock guide.
