Dark Arisen Sphinx riddles: the three Seeking the Sage answers

Reach the right Sphinx quest

NightlyGamingBinge places Seeking the Sage after Rumbles of the North: obtain the Spirit Compass from the tower chest associated with Dorin, then travel through the northwestern route toward Pupil’s Path and the Shrine of Wisdom. Speak to the Sphinx again to receive the Eye of the Sphinx. ^[1]

Listen to all three riddles before hunting their items. GamerFuzion’s SteelTron recommends returning to Polyeidus for the corresponding hints. The quest database independently lists Body, Will and Soul as the components of Seeking the Sage. ^[2][3]

Body: follow the giant lead

Ask Dwayne at the Norgandian Inn about the riddle, then follow the northern lead. The route reaches Dorin around Nival Gorge and a giant encounter. Defeat the giant, collect the Mournful Giant Tusk, and return it to the Sphinx. Do not substitute an ordinary tusk solely because its description sounds similar. NightlyGamingBinge documents this quest-item route. ^[1]

Will: retrieve the brooch and finish the encounter

Ask Polyeidus for the Will hint, continuing the conversation to get the Mountain Stronghold lead. SteelTron’s route uses Rivercave Campground, if already available, then the frozen-waterfall approach and stairs. Retrieve the Decorative Brooch inside the stronghold. Clear the ensuing enemy group before trying to leave, then deliver the brooch. This section relies on that author's completed route; NightlyGamingBinge had not yet filled in Will when checked. ^[2]

Soul: look below the stronghold

Follow the Polyeidus and Jiera lead toward Beorcan Stronghold. For the descent, NightlyGamingBinge describes facing the stairs, going left past frozen figures and finding a snow-covered ladder near the corner. Clear the snow with an attack, descend, follow the lower passage and continue toward the Frozen Battleground. Defeat Fimbl and collect the Frozen Wyrmslife Crystal for the Sphinx. ^[1]

A two-key door can distract from this route: GamerFuzion describes it as optional loot rather than the required path to the crystal. If you are blocked at that door, return to the underground-route search instead of assuming that both keys are the riddle answer. ^[2]

Before returning to the shrine

Check the exact item name and the active riddle. Our practical checklist is to mark each answer only after handing it over; collecting a quest item and submitting it are different steps.
