Daemon’s Corral: monster pens, Godsbane door and rewards

Daemon’s Corral is inside Timeworn Shaft in eastern Vermund. Its early monster pens have no party restriction, but the final boss door requires the Empowered Godsbane Blade.

Entering Daemon's Corral and reaching its final rewards are separate milestones. A description saying “no entry conditions” refers to the trial's party restriction; it should not be read as a promise that an early-story save can finish every room. ShowGamer explicitly identifies an Empowered Godsbane Blade check at the final door. [1]

Find the trial inside Timeworn Shaft

Head east of Vernworth to Timeworn Shaft. Pass the bandits, cross the main cavern and continue through the root-hung passage. The trial begins beyond the spiral-marked structure, where a portcullis drops behind the party. The first obstacle is a sequence of enclosed fights, so enter with recovery supplies ready. [2]

Three kinds of blockage, three different actions

What blocks youWhat to do
A barred monster penFind and break the wooden support to release the enemies. [3]
A magical seal after a penDefeat the enemies from that encounter. [3]
The final boss doorUse the Empowered Godsbane Blade. Clearing more ordinary enemies is not a substitute. [1]

This distinction prevents two unproductive loops: searching for a key when the room still contains an enemy, and repeatedly fighting through the dungeon when the final obstacle is story progression. Read the door interaction before changing your party or assuming the DLC installation has failed.

Clear the pens without missing the side path

The published walkthroughs describe serpents, a Minotaur and then Garms. Take a moment between releases to regroup instead of opening the next pen while a pawn is down. AllThingsHow describes destroying wooden supports as the release mechanism. After the Garm section, the route climbs over a stone obstruction toward the final door. [3]

ShowGamer places the Ring of Projection behind breakable rocks along a side corridor, a Wakestone behind the Garms' starting area, and the Mystic Eye and a gold chest before the boss door. These are useful checkpoints when deciding whether to leave now or revisit with the blade. They do not require treating every side chest as mandatory for the boss fight. [1]

Boss and completion checkpoint

The final encounter is a chained Corrupted Cyclops. The route recommends attacking its legs to create a knockdown and then targeting the exposed eye. This is an opening to exploit, not a promise that any particular spell will stun it on every difficulty. [3]

After defeating it, continue into the reward area. The listed final collection includes Scarbrand, Prickled Pomander, Nerodia and an Offering Flame. Confirm you have collected the rewards rather than treating the boss's death alone as the end of the visit. [1]

Evidence checked October 16, 2026: this is a synthesis of three opened walkthroughs, not a firsthand play report. Their party recommendations are opinions, and “no conditions” in introductory summaries can obscure the later Godsbane requirement. Exact enemy scaling and total chest currency are not asserted here.
